Ankit is a partner at Antares Legal and is based out of the firm’s New Delhi office. He is a seasoned disputes lawyer with over a decade of experience in handling complex litigation and alternative dispute resolution mandates and specializes in a wide range of legal areas, including commercial disputes, internation and domestic commercial arbitrations, insolvency and banking litigation, and competition law.

Ankit holds a degree in law from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun and was the recipient of the University Gold Medal. He also holds a LLM in Corporate and Financial Laws from Jindal Global Law School, O.P Jindal University, Sonipat and was awarded the Silver Medal.

Ankit is a versatile litigator and has been a trusted adviser to a diverse range of clients from multinational corporations, public sector undertakings, and large Indian corporates to start-ups. He has represented clients across various sectors, including banking and finance, energy, technology, infrastructure, mining, telecom, healthcare services, hospitality and has a proven track record of resolving disputes efficiently and effectively.

Ankit has earlier been a Partner (Des.) with Luthra and Luthra Law Offices, New Delhi and has also worked with Verus, advocates.

He has also extensively written on various issues in leading international and national journals.

  • Acted for and advised Indraprastha Medical Corporation Limited (Indraprastha Apollo Hospital) in probe pertaining to allegations of organ farming initiated by the Delhi Government.
  • Acted for the Promoters of Atria Group and its group companies in contentious disputes with a leading NBFC arising under the Debenture Trust Deed before the Karnataka High Court and Bombay High Court.
  • Acted for KEC International in arbitration proceedings arising out of an EPC contract for development of solar power project.
  • Acted for Maersk (Hamburg Sud India Pvt. Ltd.) before the Delhi High Court in proceedings pertaining to confiscation of its containers.
  • Acted for Affle in SIAC arbitration proceedings seated in Singapore pertaining to disputes arising in relations to its investment in an Indian tech start-up.
  • Successfully represented PSI InControl Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian company in an international commercial arbitration for its claims under a contract pertaining to supply of services and equipment for the Mumbai Monorail Project.
  • Acted for and advised Schlumberger before the Supreme Court and the Bombay High Court in a contentious tender dispute pertaining to charter hire of stimulation vessels for Mumbai offshore oil field.
  • Acted for Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Limited before NCLT, New Delhi, NCLAT and Supreme Court, in its insolvency action against a Borrower for its dues exceeding 220 Crores.
